140414 Khankoban to Tom Groggin

Today we awoke early as you do when you go to bed at 9pm.

After a quick trip to the National Parks office off to Tom Groggin we went to start our next 4wd adventure. On the way i helped out a hitch hiker Peter who was going back to Thredbo.

When arriving at Tom Groggin it was soon determined again that the water crossing was too deep for my car by an experience guy who had done the track before.

It was then decided we would drive back to slightly north for another adventure

Here we made several water crossings, Ian more than I, saw heaps of Kangeroos just lying around and enjoying the sun near the campers in the national park beside the river. We drove up steep hills and down, I dinted the car when reversing into a tree and we generally had great fun in the national park.

Back to Khancoban with a leaking tire that somehow fixed its self as we drove the 25k back and then lit a fire under the full moon to see the night through.

Now in my tent at 9pm writing this blog ready for another day tomorrow. A fire tonight with a full moon and the sky shining brightly.....really nice....

lets hope its not as cold as last night overnight tonight
