Today, my brother Ian who arrived from the Gold Coast on Monday, and I left to travel the first leg of my Journey to Tassie. We will be going to the Mt Kosciuszko National park for a bit of 4wd adventure.
After driving at Lake George then getting a little lost diverting around Canberra city we finally got closer to our destination. Heading for Brindabella, we got to a beautiful creek, and then couldn't find any destination to stay.
Supposed to camping at Flea Creek but couldn't find any turnoff. Maybe an omen.
Heading on we found "Wee Jasper" a wonderful campground. We had travelled on dirt roads for about 3 hours after a 3 hour drive to Canberra so good to stop for the night.
We stayed at the Billy Grace Reserve. http://www.theoutdoortype.com.au/guide/index.php/activity-camping/billy-grace-reserve-wee-jasper/
Luckily the rain started only after we setup our tents and then we were in for a few days of constant rain.
